So you had a bad day and wanted to run away
The pressure that was built you told yourself to forget
And with no support, you told yourself to suck it up
Now the past is coming back to haunt you and there’s no escape
You fake a smile so they won’t see
But the pain in your eyes tells a different story
Now as a friend I’ll tell you that we’re born to believe and doubt
And become confused of all the becomings
There’s time we have to lose and face rejection
What we want in life, we have no choice but to earn it
Sometimes we have to take the harder way to reach our destination of happiness
The reality of life is not a pretty one but it’s better than to have made an effort at everything than to have not done anything
The future is a scary place to have your mind dwell on
So prepare yourself and expect the unexpected
Wipe away those tears and lift your head up high
Like the sun rise and sun set, there’s many ups and downs in reality
Maybe you’ve lost the battle today but tomorrow, it’ll be something of the past
